Miles Pelky's experience guarantees a successful event

Because of his quality work, Miles has had a number of repeat clients. The Emergency Nurses Association was so impressed with him at one of their conferences in San Diego that they asked Miles to travel to cities across the country for all of their conventions, which draw up to 5,000 people.

Locally, he has been a regular at the holiday parties of leading pharmaceutical corporation Genoptix.

Football great Junior Seau has also made Miles a regular, as DJ and master of ceremonies at the Junior Seau Foundation Shop with a Jock fundraiser. At that event, he has worked with such sports legends as Bill Walton and Kellen Winslow, and popular radio and TV sports reporters C.S. Keyes and Jane Mitchell.

He was also DJ for a Super Bowl bash and worked right alongside Joe Montana, the famous 49ers quarterback.

Early years include DJ jobs with Marriott Hotels and Carnival Cruises

Miles' DJ career began in the San Francisco area, working for a Marriott Hotel. His responsibilities soon expanded to coordinating entertainment, promotions, and special events for all Marriott locations in the area.

Next, Miles spent three years working for Carnival Cruise Lines, where he was named top DJ in less than a year and assigned to the line's flagship. He also sat in as drummer for the ship's bands when the regular drummer was not available.

The pinnacle of his cruise ship experience was a three-month Mediterranean cruise for IBM.

Returning home to San Diego, Miles became a regular DJ at the historic Hotel del Coronado and spent two years in charge of musical entertainment for San Diego Harbor Excursion. When the company switched to a house band, Miles was free to work frequently for rival Hornblower Cruises.

When San Diego's favorite radio couple, 92.5’s Jagger and Kristi, decided to tie the knot on a Hornblower yacht, they asked Miles to be the DJ.

Another memorable event was in Hawaii, where Miles was flown to entertain alongside the Mar Dels, a popular local San Diego band, for a 50th birthday party.

Miles has performed at corporate events with the Beach Boys, Chubby Checker, KC and the Sunshine Band, and Cirque du Soleil. He has worked with two of Southern California's top corporate event bands, Lil' Elmo and the Cosmos and Papa Doo Run Run, as well as with NRG and Wayne Foster Entertainment, top booking agencies for musical entertainment throughout the Southwest.
